About Us


The Litchfield Fire Company was established in 1890 after multiple fires destroyed buildings around town.

Litchfield Fire responds to fire, rescue and medical emergencies in the town of Litchfield and also provides mutual aid to the surrounding communities of Bantam, Northfield, and East Litchfield.





Litchfield supports a variety of emergencies and non-emergencies alike utilizing the following apparatus:

Engine 1 – Engine Pumper w/ LDH
Engine 2 – Engine Pumper
Engine 4 – Pumper Tanker (2500 Gallons)
Ladder 1 – 105′ Aerial Ladder
Rescue 5 – Rescue Operations Truck
