The Litchfield Fire Company was established in 1890.
Litchfield Fire responds to fire and rescue emergencies in the town of Litchfield and also provides mutual aid to the surrounding communities.
LFD fire apparatus consists of 2 pumpers, 1 tanker, 1 ladder truck, 1 rescue truck, and a rescue ATV. Personnel consists of Chief, Deputy Chief, Engine Captain, Ladder Captain, 5 Lieutenants, interior firefighters, exterior firefighters, fire police, auxiliary members, and junior firefighters.
