    Litchfield Fire Department (LFD) is a non profit organization dedicated to providing services to Litchfield and surrounding towns. Donations are used to purchase equipment, supplies, provide training, and to fund vehicles.

    

    We are an all-volunteer department providing emergency response 24 hours/day, 365 days/year. Emergency services are provided without directly charging for them. In 2010, LFD responded to over 200 fire and/or EMS assistance calls including fire suppression, rescue (vehicle extrication), cold water rescue, and haz-mat operations. We serve not only Litchfield, but surrounding towns (i.e. Bantam, Goshen, Morris) under mutual aid.

   

     Our Volunteers: LFD consists of 48 active members logging in over 3,000 volunteer hours in 2010. These volunteers are neighbors, parents, brothers and sisters, and sons and daughters of our local community.

RACE INFORMATION:

 

Time: 11:00 am (Check-in 9:30-10:30)

 

Location: Plumb Hill Playing Fields, Litchfield, CT

 

Entry Fee: $25 Postmarked before 8/15/2011

                      $30 Postmarked after 8/15/2011

 

Prizes: Overall 1st/2nd/3rd place male and female to finish. Prize will also be awarded to the fastest firefighter. Prizes and giveaways for runners the day of the race.

 

Course:

Start and Finish at the Plumb Hill Playing Fields. A beautiful course that runs along White Woods Road into White Memorial Property and returning at the Plumb Hill Playing Fields. No pets, skates, bicycles, or baby joggers allowed

 

Directions:

Take Route 202 (West Street) to Constitution Way, to Plumb Hill Road (Litchfield Intermediate School/Litchfield High School). Follow signs for parking.

 

Parking:

Please use the parking lot located at the Litchfield Intermediate School, Plumb Hill Road, Litchfield, CT.
